Beer Academy – Saturday 7th July
The Beer Academy Australia has launched a series of 90-minute tasting sessions to give beer novices and interested beer drinkers a colourful insight into the world of beer, which will be held at The Villager in our Supperclub.
Aimed at people who like beer but don’t know… much about it, these events introduce drinkers to ‘everything you need to know about beer’ – its different styles and flavours, its world-wide history, what each ingredient brings to the brew, how to pair it with food, and much, much more.
Host by Matt Kirkegaard, this Tasting Session will be an Introduction to Beer. Participants will sample a variety of beers, each one matched with food, as well as learning a potpourri of anecdotes, facts and trivia about beer and its history: What’s the difference between lager and ale? Is there a difference between keg and bottled beer? What is a bottle conditioned ale? How long will beer last and how should it be stored?
At each event you will taste six beers excellently matched with food (canapé style).
